Lady Diana - The Iconic Fashion Princess

Princess Diana’s stylish looks are still remembered today as much as her remarkable humanitarian and campaigning work.

The princess of hearts undoubtedly knew how to dress to impress the crowd. This influence was really astounding given the lack of social media or style blogs at the time. The princess sported countless stunning outfits throughout her career. The fact that she was able to pull of an extravagant ball gown on one occasion and a baggy sweatshirt on the next one, appearing equally stunning both ways seems to play a huge part in her style being so recognizable. The princess of Wales radiated a classic grace that will be influential for many years to come, regardless of what she chose to wear. Although there were countless and diverse fashion outfits, but we’ve selected a few of our favorite looks that you can take style inspiration from:

Emerald Green Gown

Lady Diana wore a prominent emerald green dress for her official engagement photographs and paired it with a stunning diamond set.

On another occasion, she donned the same dress. This time she wore a spectacular emerald and diamond necklace as well as earrings to go with it.

The Eminent Wedding Dress

The fairy-tail feel of the event was reflected in the princess’s bridal gown. The complete look combined romanticism and theatre.

The splendid sweeping train was 25 feet long. Princess Diana’s train remains the longest to this day, in royal history.

Delicate mother-of-pearl sequins were used to embroider the veil. The princess of Wale’s mother’s diamond earrings and the Spencer tiara were the only two pieces of jewels she wore other than her engagement and wedding rings.

Sailor Suits

Since the beginning of her engagement, Princess Diana has been fond of the sailor suit with its unique white collar. It is an adaptable outfit that can be used for both formal and casual settings all year round.

Throughout the engagement, the Princess of Wales wore this maritime dress by Bellville Sassoon a number of times. It was made in the conventional colors of red, white and navy blue.

Pink Tour Dress

Diana was seen wearing a candy pink dress with a simple silk jacket in Australia as well as Canada. She is famous for wearing this particular color at many events.

The Princess of Wales appreciates longer hems since they are not only useful for events like tree plantation, but also because they are elegant.

The princess of hearts continues to inspire everybody around the world with her classic looks, from influencers to current royalty, even though she isn’t among us anymore.
